What if my child plateaus? All children plateau at some stage in their development. They may even appear to be regressing. This however is a normal occurrence when learning a new skill that is difficult to grasp. We ask you not to stop lessons as this will only take them back to where they started and is only a temporary occurrence. If you are concerned please feel free to discuss this with our staff.
Swimming is a year-round activity! Swimming lessons are an important investment in your child=s development. To ensure the optimum return for your investment it is recommended that swim lessons be continued year- round.
Safety Always supervise your children in and around water. We hope that the safety and survival skills we teach your child will keep them aware and in the case of an emergency, able to react to all elements to enable a positive outcome. However- NOTHING can replace supervision.
Child Praise Please praise your child, even if it is a small achievement. Children will progress better and try harder if they know their parents are proud and happy with their efforts during the class. Never worry if a child has an off-day but if it persists, feel free to discuss this with our staff.
About Our Staff All our staff are highly qualified, Austswim certified, swim instructors. They continually are trained in-house in our programs, and as part of their Austswim qualifications, attend courses and conferences to maintain these qualifications.
This enables our swim school to provide you and your child the best possible instruction from our dedicated and enthusiastic staff. The swim school is certified through swim Australia as a nationally registered swim school, and this can only happen when a swim school meets their high criteria. All staff at the swim school are here because WE LOVE OUR JOB.
